This cruel disease has taken so much from Nelda, inlcuding her eyesight, but it will never destroy "HER VISION"! There is also a picture of Nelda with her older brother who she also lost at a young age. Both of these men were her heroes. Just think, throughout all of her loss, she has maintained a genuine smile, a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and hope for a cure for Vonn Hippel-Lindau. IN MY OPINION, NELDA AND HER MOTHER ELVA ARE SAINTS ON EARTH. THEY WILL PROBABLY BE UPSET WITH ME FOR WRITING THIS BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH SUCH HUMBLE HUMAN BEINGS, BUT I ONLY WRITE WHAT IS IN MY HEART AND WHAT I TRULY BELIEVE, AND THEY CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT. IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER IS A PICTURE OF THE MEDALLION THAT I WEAR DAY AND NIGHT. IT WAS A GIFT FROM NELDA BUT INSCRIBED BY GOD. THE WHOLE STORY IS AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS BLOG. I BELIEVE ON THE MARCH 2006 LINK TO THE RIGHT OF YOUR SCREEN. IT DESCRIBES THE CHAIN OF EVENTS THAT LEAD ME TO MY SISTER IN CHRIST, NELDA SOSA. THROUGH NELDA, HER MOTHER ELVA, HER HUSBAND EDDIE, AND HER ENTIRE FAMILY MY LIFE HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED.


Nelda, once again, received another negative report after her MRI. She will not only have to undergo surgery to remove a tumor on her spinal cord on September 11, 2007, but she has developed a new tumor at the top of her neck. Therefore, her post-op will actually transition in to pre-op for another grueling surgery. Nelda currently has lost sight in her only remaining eye; however, as always, Nelda maintains a smile, faith in a GOOD GOD, and she encourages those around her by continuing to give even in the midst of her own suffering. Nelda's family asks for prayers. The power of prayer will provide her with the strength to push forward through the storm. Please lift her up to our father in heaven for "His Grace is Sufficient".
