This post is a copy of an email that I sent to one of my best friends. Like Nelda, this individual is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. Nelda and Jill have also become great friends; therefore, I know that Nelda would want this entered in the Blog I have dedicated to Nelda. To anyone who may be reading this....never fail to tell your loved ones how you feel about them. Life is short....Love is eternal!
To Jill Stone Honer:
You are truly THE BEST! "God knows WHO to Send” That is something that Alicia Tipton (My friend that sang at Mom's Service) always says to me. God sent you to me a long time ago, and you bless my life more and more with each passing day, year, decade (better stop with "decade")....that really ages us. Hearing your voice, seeing you, or just being in your presence is such a "high"....I truly feel energized when I leave...no matter how down I was when I arrived. Your family also gives off that same energy! When we arrived the other day, Courtney and Erik both came out to the car to greet us. What a reflection on you and John's parenting. They made us feel instantly welcome and they emanated that energy I am talking about. Then to see my beautiful Nana...more energy (by the way...she is soooo beautiful, alert, and full of life even over 100 in earthly years...I think the fountain of youth flows within her...a true blessing from our GOOD GOD), then your Mom (who brings back memories of my Mom)...always positive, always professional, always supportive, and just flawless in my eyes. Then there is my precious Jill!!!!! Words can't even describe the visible, tangible, positive spirit of love that you exude. It almost seems that you should be a completely deflated body because you give, give, give, and then give some more...but as you continue to give...you seem to have an even greater capacity to give (makes me think of the scripture where Jesus fed the multitudes...his supply of loaves and fishes exponentially grew as he continued to give). I think there is some mystical tie/correlation there. I know I sound sappy at times, but I mean every word and thoughts that go unsaid never bring to fruition their creators intent. O.K....that is freaky...what I just wrote seemed to come through me as opposed to from me. I feel that way a lot when I write. The flow of words and thoughts just come, and sometimes I write things that I am hearing or understanding for the first time, but I never intended to write it. I just had an epiphany. I just realized that "good thoughts" and "bad thoughts" are created by 'SOMETHING” and that creator (the "SOMETHING") has an intended outcome if those thoughts are acted upon. Therefore, we have the control over their (the "thoughts") life. We control the "life" of our thoughts which were created by "SOMETHING" or someone. If we pass those thoughts on....in effect, giving the "thoughts" legs/motion/life...then those thoughts fulfill their intended purpose. However, if we deny the thoughts life/continuance, then those thoughts are unable to fulfill their intended purpose. Therefore, if their source is "negative", their death/termination is a positive...but, if their source is "positive" their death/termination is a negative. This is where "free will" enters the scene. We have "free will" to give life to “good” and “death” to bad, or life to “bad” and death to “good”, or life to “good” and life to “bad”, or death to “good” and death to “bad”. As individuals our choices in these matters brings life and/or death to the small microcosm that we live in (our lives/families/communities), but COLLECTIVELY, we, as human beings, bring life and or death to our world...simply by WHAT WE CHOOSE. Ultimately, we can change our entire life by choosing to give GOOD thoughts life and bad thoughts death. Each of us have this power within us no matter how big, how small, how white, how dark, how old, or how young...until the day we die...we can choose life but, conversely, we can also choose death.
