Nelda is currently staying at her mother's home in Premont, Texas, and I spoke with her today, April 17, 2006. When I answered the phone, she had so much enthusiasm in her voice as she said that she had something incredible to tell me. Eddie, her husband, is there with her right now, and she told him that she was hungry for a bagel and cream cheese. After a few minutes, he returned with what she thought was her bagel. She began eating it and sensed that something was not right. She asked, "Eddie, are you sure this is a bagel?" He replied, "Yes". Not too long after that, Nelda began to see her glass with a clarity that she has not had to this point. She reached down, picked it up, and took a drink. She told Eddie to watch as she did it again and again. Nelda was so excited with her increased vision. It was at this time that her Mom, Elva, came in and discovered that the bread Eddie had used for Nelda's "bagel" was the bread that had been blessed at the church. Nelda's bagel was "Blessed Bread" and with its consumption her vision increased significantly. God is so Good as Nelda always reminds us! Praise the Lord that Eddie could not find a bagel.
