Hope Through Nelda's Sight

Through "Nelda's Sight" Nelda WILL obtain her VISION to proclaim GOD'S GOODNESS and raise awareness and funding for Vonn Hippel-Lindau(VHL). This cruel disease has taken so much from Nelda, inlcuding her eyesight, but it will never destroy "HER VISION"! Nelda carries her cross daily, and though she may fall, she will always rise again, and she will never, ever give up! Your continued communications lighten the weight of her cross. Great News, Nelda is home and recovering from her last surgery to remove the tumors in the lower part of her brain/upper neck area. God guided the surgeon's hands, and she did not lose any feeling or progress that she made since the spinal surgery. We praised God in our prayer as we met at her house before she went back to Premont. I personally ask everyone to especially pray for Eddie, her Mother, Elva, and Henry as they are her full time caretakers. They are there 24/7 and they are Saints on Earth. I also want to share Nelda's thoughts on the recent accusations made against one of her former colleagues at Robstown High School. She heard the accusations made againt Coach Ronald Castaneda and she, as well as I, knew that this could not be the whole truth. Yes, he may have lost his temper on this one occasion and used inappropriate language but the general public must also know what this man has done for kids for his entire career in education. He has managed the campus Behavior Unit which serves students who are challenged with emotional problems. Over the years we have seen students spit on him, curse him out, hit him, etc... and not once did this man lose his temper. He ALWAYS remained cool, under control, while at the same time treating the student with dignity and respect even as that child's spit ran down the front of his shirt. It is truly amazing to see the compassion this man has for the students in his classroom and on the entire campus. Students who were never confident enough to get into athletics, would enroll under the protection of his wing. He would put himself on the line to get the students involved, and if they misbehaved he would patiently handle the situation. Nelda, was heartbroken to hear the treatment Coach Castaneda was receiving from the media. Yes, again he may have made a mistake, but this man is all about kids. He is all about helping kids get a good education so they can have a positive, productive, and happy future. So please, for Nelda, keep Coach Castaneda in your prayers. Losing this man as an educator would be a great loss to our profession. He is human, and may anybody criticizing him for losing his patience on this one occasion, and who has NEVER LOST THEIR TEMPER THEMSELVES throw the first stone.

Whoever left the previous post in French...bless you. If anyone could interpret, I would love to know what this person is saying so that I can share it with Nelda.
